The u-shaped interior layout of the building is limited by low building height, and the ceiling height varies within the interior space due to the ment parking structure. As a result, this caused oppressiveness and inconvenience for the user during the moving process. Besides eliminating existing problems of the original building, the need to accommodate diverse business requirements also presented a major design challenge.
TBDC has utilized vast expanses of irregular wall panels and ceiling variations, while the flooring height is also extended to form a age with vertical surfaces and overcome the dilemma of varying heights in the space. The ingenious transformation also introduces a touch of playfulness to the interior. The same material is extended to the structural columns to form irregularly angled structures that define the light meal area, culture & creative exhibition walls and garment exhibition space. Hidden beneath the irregular panels are facilities and lighting fixtures. The balanced ratio of functional lighting and ambient lighting also conform to the current trend of environmental protection and energy conservation.
