Hotel Paradis is a three stars hotel located in the center of Paris.
It was Dorothee's first hotel project, and she had the chance to get "carte blanche".
Her idea was to create a cozy hotel at a low price, with no specific theme but a unique decor.
Hotel is meant to be a peaceful place in a very dense district, a “pause” in a crowded city.
So each room is different: furniture and carpets are custom made or reissued. She used a lot of prints & patterns: on wallpapers, on the round & soft headboards specially designed, and on the carpets.
As the place is called "hotel paradis", she used lots of different birds prints, to remind the “oiseau de paradis”!
We also find some fornasetti's clouds prints in the lobby, together with the birds, it is meant to bring clients to "reverie"…
The lobby colors are quite neutral and soft - pearly blue-greys, with white bricks and wood - in order to get smoothly from the streets to the rooms, which are much more colorful.
